An educational activity for families in which participants will explore the principles of mechanics studied by Leonardo da Vinci.
Using simple, creative materials—such as plastic bottle caps and gummy candies to simulate gear teeth—children will be able to visualize and understand complex concepts like the transmission of motion and the relationship between wheel size and rotational speed.
At the end of the activity, there will be a brief tour of the room dedicated to the Anatomy of Machines, to go “hunting” for gear wheels in the models of the collection. It will be an opportunity to reflect on Leonardo’s ingenuity and how his inventions laid the foundations for modern mechanical engineering.
Cost: €5.00 per participant
