Photographic Exhibition

This exhibition is part of the project dedicated to the 260th anniversary of the installation of Peter Leopold of Habsburg-Lorraine, with the contribution of the Tuscany Region.
The exhibition, based on historical research by E. Maccioni, M. Parlanti, and A. Tampellini, recounts the evolution of Pieve a Nievole from a rural village to an industrious town, illustrating the Leopoldine reforms and the development of the area through documents and images.

A Walk with the Grand Duke

Location: Parking lot of the Church of the Virgin Mother of the Church, Via Nova, Porrioncino, Pieve a Nievole

Guided excursion
A historical-environmental trail to discover the traces left by the Grand Duchy of Tuscany in the Pieve a Nievole area, with particular attention to the marshlands.

The trail winds through nature and sites of historical interest, exploring the land reclamation works and hydraulic innovations that shaped the area’s environmental structure.

Art at the Cantiere – Free Drawing, Painting, and Ceramics Workshops

Workshop Hours: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM / 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Location: Cantiere d’Arte – Via Matteotti 57, Pieve a Nievole (PT)

Free activities for children 6 and older and adults, with the opportunity to try drawing, painting, and clay modeling techniques.

Terracotta decoration techniques will also be demonstrated; an optional fee may be charged for firing the pieces.
