The Municipality of Uzzano is located halfway between Pescia and Buggiano. The city’s greatest artistic heritage is the Castle, perched on a hill covered with olive trees. The medieval village of Uzzano Castello overlooks the valley of the Pescia stream and can be seen from all over the Valdinievole, even at night, thanks to suggestive lighting. In the main town square stands the Palazzo del Capitano, built in the thirteenth century by the Republic of Florence.
